Key security practices
Here we outline some of the most notable practices that bolster our users’ anonymity and safety.

No-logs VPN
We provide a no-logs VPN, which means we do not monitor, collect, or log information about the apps, services, or websites our users use while connected to Atlas VPN servers.
We do not track our users’ surfing behavior, browsing history, assigned IP addresses, originating IP addresses, sites visited, outgoing traffic, content, or data accessed. As a result, even if compelled, we cannot provide such information because we simply do not have it.

Passwordless authentication
For increased security, Atlas VPN does not use the standard username/email — password verification. Users are logged in via a unique code that they receive in their email inboxes. This verification method protects our users’ accounts from various threats, such as credential stuffing attacks, where hackers use stolen credentials from data leaks.

Internal penetration tests
Penetration tests are another measure that we utilize for securing VPN service. A penetration test simulates a cyber-attack using extensive, hands-on, manual testing methodologies and tools. To find vulnerabilities and security problems, testers investigate the target system and its applications, devices, services, and user behaviors.

Third-party audits
In addition to regularly testing our software internally, we invite independent security experts to evaluate our service. VerSprite has performed a VPN test on our iOS app, examining its security and proving it safe to use. Atlas VPN Windows application also underwent an independent audit by global cybersecurity experts from MDSec.

Vulnerability scans
Atlas VPN constantly monitors its internal network health by performing vulnerability scans. Vulnerability scans are high-level, automated security examinations created to detect known vulnerabilities, a lack of security measures, and frequent misconfiguration problems.

Advanced security features
We employ secure VPN encryption protocols such as WireGuard® and IKEv2/IPSec and offer specialized servers for enhanced privacy and security, including SafeSwap and MultiHop+. We also provide advanced features that go beyond basic safety and privacy protection, such as Data Breach Monitor and SafeBrowse, a malware and third-party tracker blocker.
